Q: Am I accepting guest post pitches?
A: I am not accepting unsolicited guest post pitches currently.

If we've never communicated, and you pitch me a post that has nothing to do with this site's topic...I will not respond because I'll be too busy printing out your pitch and lighting it on fire.

Q: Am I accepting sponsors for The Friday 4 newsletter?
A: Yes! If you want to reach thousands of engaged readers at a competitive price, please get in touch and we can work out the details!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be an extrovert to be good with people?
Absolutely not! Many of my most socially confident clients are introverts.

People skills aren’t about being loud or outgoing, they’re about building connection through simple, repeatable habits that feel natural to you.
What makes Become More Compelling different from other people skills advice?
Most advice is either too vague (“just be yourself!”) or overly rigid (“memorize these 47 scripts”). My approach is different, it’s built on small, actionable habits that create real-world results without feeling forced or fake.
How long does coaching last?
Typically 3-6 months. Long enough to see behavior change and take action.
Will this take years to see results?
Not at all. Many clients see progress within weeks, sometimes even after their first session. Small, consistent habits compound into big results faster than you think.
What if I’ve already tried to improve my people skills and it didn’t really work?
Most people fail because they rely on random tips from YouTube or cobbled together advice without a system to tie everything together. My coaching is built on a step-by-step process, not scattered advice.
What is the investment for private coaching?
Can I get my company to pay for coaching?
Maybe!

Many companies have some sort of "learning stipend" for their employees. I've had many clients get reimbursed for private coaching by their companies.

If needed, I have a copy/paste email script you can send to your boss to make this easier!
Isn’t working on people skills kind of… fake?
You don’t have to reinvent yourself to improve your people skills.

The real magic happens when you learn to communicate with confidence while staying true to who you are. Becoming a better version of yourself is the goal.
Who are you, and why should I trust you to help me?
I’m Jeff, founder of Become More Compelling.

I’ve helped hundreds of people transform their people skills over the last 10+ years using simple, proven systems. (Clients at Google, Microsoft, Netflix, and more)

I used to struggle with social confidence (in fact, I had a speech impediment so bad I couldn't say my own name!) so I know exactly how frustrating it can feel, and how freeing it is to overcome.

My advice has been featured in INC, TIME, Business Insider, Yahoo Finance and more. I'd love to help you become a more socially confident version of you!
What happens in a coaching session?
In a coaching session, we’ll identify your biggest sticking points, create a clear action plan, and break social skills into small, achievable habits. It’s a structured, supportive space designed for fast, noticeable progress.

When you're not in a coaching session, you'll have access to on demand video lessons, and you'll be able to DM me with questions in my private coaching Slack channel.
What kind of results have past clients had?
They are speaking up in more meetings at work, having better conversations, and feeling more socially confident than they ever have before!

But don't take my word for it!

Let my clients tell you themselves: Check out over a dozen coaching case studies here.
What is the time commitment for private coaching?
Around 2-5 hours per week.

The great thing about people skills is that you can practice while interacting with co-workers, bosses, friends or family. For most clients this ends up being less than 5 hours per week.
I know someone who needs coaching. Do you accept referrals?
Yes, with a BIG caveat.

I do accept referrals, but only if that person is open to coaching.

If you know of one friend, family member, employee or coworker who could use my help, refer them to my site and let them apply for private coaching.
I'm the parent of a college student. Do you coach college students?
Yes! Please fill out an application for your college student and we'll hop on a call and discuss their situation and I'll let you know if I can help!
