One habit that I really want to start is the habit of having a morning routine that I go through to kick off the day and set me up mentally and physically for success.
Because nothing is worse than rolling out of bed at 12:00pm...still in your PJs and you've done nothing to improve yourself. The game's over before it begins.
My morning routine will look like this...
2. Brush Teeth, Floss
3. Work out for around 10 minutes
4. Meditate, Give Gratitude
5. Shower, Have Healthy Breakfast
When I walk out the door, or sit down at my computer to do work, I want to be centered, focused, and ready for the day.
Steps that I will take today to ensure my success:
-Pre-Prep: Go to bed no later than 11pm
-Pre-Prep: Eat 2 Tablespoons of Almond butter prior to sleep to ensure higher levels of blood sugar upon waking.
-Pre-Prep: Set Up! bracelet to wake me briefly 4 hours into sleep to raise overall percentage of REM (restorative) sleep.
-Pre-Prep: Make breakfast shake the night before.
-Place my phone (alarm) on the other side of the room so that I wake up and have to physically get out of bed to turn off.
-I will have my water waiting for me next to my alarm.
The key to success will be Making sure each step is paired with the last so my success will be inevitable.
Homework: What kind of morning routine could you come up with to wake up ready to kick ass?
